  • 1 (12 oz.) box Corn Chex
  • 1 (12 oz.) box Crispix
  • 1 lb. pecans
  • 1 lb. peanuts or raisins
  • 1 lb. butter or oleo
  • 2 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. corn syrup

Directions

    Mix the first 5 ingredients.

    Melt the rest of ingredients in pan.

    Bring to a boil; simmer 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat and add 2 teaspoons vanilla.

    Pour over cereal mix.

    Bake at 200° for 1 hour.

    Stir every 15 minutes.

    Cool on wax paper.
