- 2 c sugar
- 1 c butter
- 1 3/4 c light corn syrup
- 1 14.5 oz can evaporated milk
- 4 tsp vanilla
- 1 c finely chopped nuts
Directions

1combine sugar butter, syrup and evap milk in large saucepan. cook over high heat stirring frequently to 210 degrees, about 5 min. Reduce heat to medium. Cook stirring constantly to soft ball stage, 240 degrees (or 230). Remove from heat immediately . Add vanilla and nuts, stir quickly to blend. Pour mixture into well buttered 9 inch square pan. Cool throughly. Turn Candy out onto cutting board, cut into small squares with sharp knif. wrap each square in waxed paper or keep well chilled until ready to serve 3lbs. It takes a long time to get to hard ball stage bbut is very good
