- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. light syrup (Karo)
- few grains of salt
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 c. undiluted evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup and salt and boil, stirring occasionally, until syrup is very thick (at least 20 minutes).

2Add margarine and slowly stir in milk.

3Stir constantly.

4Cook rapidly to firm ball stage.

5Add vanilla and pour into buttered cookie sheet.

6Let cool slightly, then cut or break into bite size pieces.

7Wrap these in wax paper.

8Makes about 100 pieces.
