Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. baking yeast
  • 1 1/2 c. warm stock
  • 1/2 c. molasses
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. rye flour
  • 3 Tbsp. caraway seed, crushed or ground
  • 1/4 c. milk powder
  • 6 Tbsp. soy grits
  • 2 1/2 c. whole wheat flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water in small bowl.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups stock, molasses, oil and salt. Stir in rye flour and beat until smooth.

    Add yeast mixture, caraway seed, powdered milk and soy grits.

    Stir in enough whole wheat flour to make soft for kneading.

    Let rest 10 minutes.
