- 1 each cake mix, chocolate pkg
- 1 each milk, sweetened condensed eagle brand condensed (not evaporated!)
- 1/2 cup margarine or butter
- 1 pk caramels (candy squares) (14oz)
- 1 cup pecans coarsely chopped
Directions

1Reheat oven to 350F (180C).

2Prepare cake mix as pkg directs.

3pour 2 cups batter into greased 13x9-inch baking pan; bake 15 minutes.

4in heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt caramels and margarine.

5Remove from heat; add condensed milk.

6Mix well.

7Spread carmel over cake; spread remaining cake batter over carmel.

8Top with nuts.

9Bake 30 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.

10Cool.
