  • 2 sticks Mrs. Filbert margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 1/4 c. plain flour or cake flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. almond or lemon flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

    Cream shortening.

    Add sugar gradually.

    Beat in eggs, one at a time.

    Add flour alternately with milk.

    Add flavorings.

    Bake in a 10-inch tube pan, well-greased and floured, at 350° for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
