- 12 medium size carrots
- 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- dash of celery salt
- 1/2 c. seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Wash, peel and slice carrots.

2Cook until tender.

3Drain. Slice Cheddar cheese.

4Arrange carrots and cheese in layers in a buttered two-quart casserole. Make white sauce, using butter, flour, salt, pepper and milk.

5Flavor sauce with mustard and celery salt (may add onion flavoring, too).

6Pour white sauce over carrots and cheese.

7Top with bread crumbs.

8Dot with remaining butter.

9Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or more.
