- 8 to 10 carrots, cut in half and unpeeled
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. fresh orange juice
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 oranges, peeled and sliced in rings
Directions

1Wash carrots, scrub with stiff brush and cut in half.

2Cook until just tender. Melt butter or margarine in heavy skillet. Add sugar and orange juice.

3Let bubble 2 to 3 minutes. Add carrots, tossing now and then to glaze well over medium heat.

4Top with orange slices and sprinkle with nutmeg, turning now and then so carrots and oranges are thoroughly glazed.

5Serve at once!
