  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c. milk or cream
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • enough water or cover fish (about 1 1/2 c.)
