Ingredients

  • 2 lb. catfish, cut into 1 1/2 to 2-inch pieces
  • 3 medium Irish potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 strips bacon, cut in halves
  • about 4 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • hot sauce to taste

Directions

    Fry bacon in heavy pot; add onion and cook until tender.

    Pour in water, seasonings and fish.

    Bring to boil for a few minutes, then turn heat down and simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
