"Catholic Clam Chowder"

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 large stalk celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cube fish boullion
  • 2-3 cups potatoes diced and blanched
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced and blanched
  • 1 can baby clams, drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups milk

    1)Melt margarine and sautee the onion and celery.

    2)Add flour and bring to boil

    3) slowly stir in the water and fish boullion
  4. 4
    4) Add potatoes and carrots
  5. 5
    5) stir in baby clams

    6) simmer for approx. 5 minutes and then stir in milk
  7. 7
    7) return to simmer and serve w/in thirty minutes
