  • 4 c. celery, cut in 1-inch slices
  • boiling water
  • salt
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 c. diced pimentos
  • 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo, melted

Directions

    Mix celery, water chestnuts, cream of chicken soup and pimentos in a quart casserole dish. Toss bread crumbs with almonds and oleo. Sprinkle on top of celery mixture. Sprinkle remaining almonds on top. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes, until bubbly.
