- 2 Tbsp. alum
- 2 pt. vinegar
- 1 pt. water
- 5 lb. sugar
- 1 oz. allspice (whole)
- 3 sticks cinnamon
- green food coloring
Directions

1Wash and slice thin the cucumbers.

2Soak 24 hours in salt water (1/2 cup salt to 1 quart water), then drain.

3Cover with fresh water for 24 hours, then drain.

4Simmer in weak vinegar water with 2 tablespoons alum for 3 hours.
