Ingredients
- 1 (1 lb.) can apricot halves
- 1 (1 lb.) can cling peach halves
- 1 (1 lb.) can pear halves
- 1 (1 lb.) can pineapple slices or spears
- juice of 2 oranges
- grated rind of 1 orange
- grated rind of 1 lemon
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, cut in half or chopped
Directions

1Drain fruit.

2Combine 2/3 cup syrup of each of the fruits in a saucepan.

3Add orange juice and grated rinds; simmer uncovered until reduced by half.

4If too sweet, stir in the juice and 1/2 lemon.

5Transfer to top of double boiler.

6Add drained fruit and dates and cook for about 15 minutes.

7An electric frying pan can be used for the dish.

8When ready to serve, transfer to chafing dish and serve hot.

9Yields 8 to 10 servings.
