- 2 sticks Cinnamon Or Cinnamon Bark
- 3 whole Cardamom Pods
- 4 whole Cloves
- 1 whole Star Anise
- 2 cups Water
- 1/4 cups Loose Black Tea Leaves
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
Directions

1In a warm pot, quickly heat up cinnamon stick or bark, cardamom, cloves, and star anise.

2Wait about a minute; you will smell the spices. Add the water and black tea leaves, bring to a low boil, then simmer.

3I add sugar because I am a total sugar fiend. Let steep for about 5 minutes on a low simmer and then add the milk. Take off heat and let it sit for about 2-3 minutes.

4Strain your spices and tea leaves and pour your chai in a cup.

5Enjoy!

6I usually pour my tea mixture into a French press which makes it easier to separate the spices and easier to serve.
