  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 3/4 c. tap hot water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 1/2 c. flour

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in hot water.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Stir and then knead together.

    Let rise in extra greased bowl about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

    Also grease top of dough.

    Punch down, divide into 3 rolls (like clay snakes) and braid onto greased pan.

    Let rise again for 3/4 hour.

    Brush top with egg yolk.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
