- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Lightly grease baking sheet or spray with butter flavored non-stick cooking spray.

3Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl; mix well.

4Cut in shortening with a pastry blender or two knives until coarse crumbs form.

5Stir in sour cream and milk with a fork until a soft, moist dough forms; stir in Cheddar.

6Knead dough on lightly floured surface until no longer sticky, 8-10 times.

7Roll dough to a 1/2-thickness.

8Cut out biscuits with floured 3-inch round cutter. Place on prepared baking sheet.

9Re-roll dough scraps and repeat as needed.

10Bake until biscuits are golden, 9-12 minutes.

11Serve warm. Makes 10 biscuits.
