- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. melted oleo
- 1 egg
- 4 slices cooked, crumbled bacon
- 1 green pepper, if desired
Directions

1Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and 1 cup cheese into mixing bowl.

2Combine milk, oleo and eggs; add to dry ingredients.

3Stir until flour is moistened.

4Pour into greased 9-inch round pan.

5Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bacon; top with green pepper.

6Bake at 425° for 30 minutes or until done.
