  • 5 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into bits
  • 2 ounces coarsely grated extra-sharp cheddar cheese (3/4 cup)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 3/4 cup whole-milk plain yogurt
  • 1/3 cup whole milk

    Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 400°F.

    Pulse flour, baking powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a food processor until combined.

    Add butter and pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal.
