  • 4 oz. sharp Cheddar, grated
  • 1/4 tsp. minced onion
  • 1/8 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 1/2 strips bacon

Directions

    Mix all ingredients together to make a paste. Trim the crust off 3 pieces of bread. Butter lightly and make 3 slices of each piece. Slice bacon strips in half. Spread cheese mixture on bread and roll with bacon on outside. Hold together with 2 toothpicks. Cut each in half between the toothpicks. Broil until browned on one side, turn and brown other side. Makes 18 yummy appetizers!
