- 1 lb. margarine
- 1 lb. mild Cheddar cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- enough plain flour to make stiff dough (4 to 6 c.)
- 1 tsp. red pepper (heaping or to taste)
Directions

1Preheat oven to 300°.

2Grate cheese.

3Let cheese and butter stand at room temperature until soft, then beat with electric mixer. Add salt and red pepper.

4Add flour, one cup at a time, until mixture is stiff.

5Roll out on wax paper. Cut with small cutter and place a pecan on top of each. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Biscuits will be yellow instead of brown.
