  • 1 box light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • pinch of salt
  • pecans to taste, if desired

Directions

    Heat first 2 ingredients over low heat.

    Remove from heat and mix in other ingredients in order.

    Place mixture in a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 300°.
