- 1 large egg
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 unbaked 9-inch deep dish pastry shell
- 1 1/4 c. chopped pecans
- 3 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Combine the first 5 ingredients; beat at low speed with an electric mixer until smooth.

3Pour into pastry shell.

4Sprinkle evenly with pecans.

5Combine the beaten eggs and remaining ingredients, mixing well.

6Spoon over pecan layer.

7Bake on the lowest rack for 35 minutes or until set. Makes 1 (9-inch) pie.
