- 3 c. water (add more as needed)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. grits
- 1 1/2 c. cheese
Directions

1Bring water and salt to a rolling boil and stir in grits. Cook at high heat for about 3 minutes and add a stick or less of butter as desired.

2Cut heat and stir in about 1 1/2 cups cheese, more if desired.

3Cook on very low heat until well mixed and cheese completely melts.

4Stir occasionally as it is cooking on low heat.
