Ingredients

  • 1 c. grits
  • 4 c. boiling water
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 2 (6 oz.) links Cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. seasoned salt
  • garlic to taste

Directions

    Cook grits in boiling water until thick; add butter, seasonings and cheese, stirring until melted.

    Beat eggs lightly and stir into grits mixture.

    Pour into buttered casserole dish and bake for 1 hour at 325°.

    (Placing a sheet of foil under the pan seems to prevent it from sticking.)
