Ingredients

  • 3 c. boiling water
  • 3/4 c. grits
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • a few drops hot sauce
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 2 c. American or Cheddar cheese
  • 2 eggs

Directions

    Add grits to water slowly. Cook until water is absorbed (be careful it spits at you).

    Take from heat.

    Add oleo, cheese and hot sauce. Stir to dissolve cheese and oleo.

    Beat in the eggs. Pour into buttered casserole. Bake 25 to 30 minutes in medium oven.
