- 3/4 c. quick grits
- 3 c. water
- 1/4 lb. Velveeta cheese
- 3/4 stick margarine
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs or wheat germ or crushed corn flakes
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- dash of Tabasco
Directions

1Cook grits, slowly stirring into boiling water, for 2 1/2 to 5 minutes.

2Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes.

3Melt Velveeta cheese and butter.

4Blend in egg and add to grits together with Tabasco; mix well.

5Pour into a greased casserole dish; sprinkle with paprika and crumbs.

6Cook in preheated oven at 325° for 20 minutes.

7Double recipe to serve 14.
