- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 lb. frozen hash browns, browned
- 16 oz. sour cream
- 16 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can cream of mushroom or chicken soup
Directions

1Saute onion and butter together.

2Combine sour cream and soup with butter and onion.

3Crumble hash browns, if patties; combine with soup mixture and add 8 ounces cheese.

4Put into 9 x 13-inch pan and top with remaining cheese.

5Bake at 350° for 1 hour, uncovered.
