  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 c. Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pint tomato juice

Directions

    Brown ground beef and drain.

    Mix together with stuffing mix, egg, ketchup, onion, salt and pepper.

    Arrange peppers in baking dish.

    Stuff with beef mixture.

    Pour 1 pint tomato juice over peppers.

    Place in oven and bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes. Just before serving, place slices of American cheese on top.

    Melt cheese.

    Serve immediately.
