Ingredients
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. hot scalded milk
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2/3 to 1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese in 3/4-inch cubes
Directions

1Soften yeast in warm water.

2Combine hot milk, margarine, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl.

3Let cool.

4Add egg and yeast.

5Gradually add flour to form a stiff dough.

6Let rise in warm place until double in size (about 2 hours).

7Mash down and make into rolls with a cube of cheese in center of roll.

8Be sure dough is sealed around cheese.

9Place on greased baking pan and let rise again to about double in size.

10Bake in 400° oven until golden brown.
