  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. diced mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 8 oz. macaroni

Directions

    Melt margarine in pan; add flour.

    Add milk in small amounts until smooth.

    Then add water, salt and cheese.

    Reduce heat until cheese melts and sauce begins to thicken.

    Pour over 8 ounces of cooked macaroni.

    Bake at 300° to 350° for 20 minutes.
