Cheesy Fish Soup

- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. shredded American or Cheddar cheese
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 lb. boneless cod fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
Directions

1In large saucepan, cook onion in oleo until tender.

2Add flour, salt and pepper.

3Blend well.

4Add milk, stirring constantly until thick.

5Add cheese; stir until melted.

6Remove from heat.

7In medium saucepan, dissolve bouillon in water.

8Bring to a boil.

9Add fish and simmer until fish flakes easily.

10Add to cheese mixture.

11Stir until well blended.

12Reheat to serve.
