Cheesy Herb Loaf

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 3 oz packages cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 c cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 1/2 c Monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 3 Tbsp milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp snipped parsley
  • 1 Tbsp snipped chives
  • 1 loaf French bread

Directions

    Microwave bacon until crisp, crumble when cooled. Heat unwrapped cream cheese until softened.

    Add cheeses and dry mustard.

    Add milk, beat until fluffy, add the rest of the ingredients plus crumbled bacon.

    Cut French bread in 1 in slices and spread with cheese mixture.

    Place loaf on waxed paper and microwave 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until heated through.

    Can also be wrapped in foil and heated for 20 to 25 minutes in 350 degree oven.
