- 1 (9-inch) baked pastry shell
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- sweetened whipped cream
Directions

1Combine cocoa, sugar, salt and cornstarch in a medium saucepan.

2Gradually blend milk into dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.

3Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until filling boils.

4Boil 1 minute.

5Remove from heat.

6Blend in butter and vanilla.

7Pour into pie crust.

8Carefully press plastic wrap directly onto pie filling.

9Cool.

10Chill 3 to 4 hours.
