Ingredients

  • 8 chicken breasts, boned
  • 1 bottle chili sauce (12 oz.)
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can or frozen black cherries, drained
  • 3/4 c. cooking sherry or wine
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Place chicken in shallow baking dish.

    Spread with melted butter, salt and pepper.

    Bake at 350° for 30 minutes, uncovered. Mix chili sauce, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.

    Pour over chicken.

    Bake for 30 minutes longer.

    Add cherries and sherry and bake another 30 minutes.
