  • 1 can sour cherries
  • 3/4 c. oatmeal
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. brown sugar, packed firm
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • red cake coloring

Directions

    Pour cherries and juice plus coloring in 9 x 9-inch baking pan. Mix remaining ingredients and press onto cherries.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven.
