  • 1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 16 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. sugar

Directions

    Beat cake mix, butter and 1 egg in large mixer bowl at low speed until crumbly.

    Press lightly into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan or a 9-inch spring-form pan.

    Beat 2 eggs, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla and cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.

    Spread over crumb mixture.

    Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes until set. Mix sour cream, 1/4 cup sugar and remaining tablespoon vanilla. Spread over cheese; cool.

    Spread pie filling over sour cream mixture.

    Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours.
