  • 1/2 c. butter or oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
  • confectioners sugar

Directions

    Prepare cake mix according to package directions using required butter and eggs, but reducing water to 1/2 cup.

    Spread batter in a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan; spoon cherry pie filling over, folding evenly.

    Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes or until cake springs back when pressed lightly in center.
