- 125 g butter, room temperature
- 1/4 cup caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 125 g chopped mixed nuts
- 15 glace cherries, halved
Directions

1Preheat oven to 180°C.

2Cream the butter and sugar until light and creamy.

3Add the egg and the vanilla, beating well.

4Sift the flour into the mixture and combine to form a soft dough.

5Drop round teaspoonfuls of mixture into the nuts.

6Roll in balls.

7Place onto lined oven trays (allowing room for spreading) and press half a cherry on top of each biscuit.

8Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.

9Allow to cool slightly before removing biscuits from their trays.
