- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 (14 ounce) cans pie cherries, drained
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- Sauce
- cherry juice
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 6 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions

1Cream together sugar, shortening, eggs, salt and baking soda.

2Add cherries, nuts and flour; mix well.

3Put in greased and floured 13x9-inch glass dish.

4Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.

5Blend together sauce ingredients.

6Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.

7Remove from heat.

8Pour over cherry pudding.
