  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 6 drops red food coloring
  • 3 c. drained water packed red sour cherries
  • 1/2 c. cherry juice
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Mix all ingredients, except butter.

    Let stand for 15 minutes. Pour into a 9-inch pie shell; dot with butter.

    Add top crust. Bake at 425° for about 50 minutes.
