Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can sour red cherries
  • 1 (8 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. ginger ale
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/3 c. shredded coconut
  • 2 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry flavor gelatin

Directions

    Drain fruits, reserving juices.

    Add water to juice to make 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons.

    Add sugar.

    Bring to a boil; stir in gelatin until dissolved.

    Add fruit and ginger ale.

    Chill until very thick, but not set.

    Stir in nuts and coconut.

    Pour into a 5-quart mold.

    Chill until set.
