Ingredients

  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1 box light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs, one at a time
  • 2 c. flour, sifted with 1 tsp. baking powder and pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Melt on low heat oleo and brown sugar.

    Remove from heat; put in mixing bowl and beat in (in this order) sugar, eggs (one at a time), flour, vanilla and pecans.

    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Bake in 300° oven 40 to 50 minutes or until it tests done.

    Cut into bars while warm and roll in powdered sugar. Keeps well in airtight container.
