  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. whipping cream or half and half
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 c. chopped dates or raisins
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Directions

    Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.

    Add flour, salt and eggs.

    Beat until almost smooth, then beat 2 minutes longer. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla until mixed well.

    Stir in nuts and dates.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell.

    Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes until top of filling is dark golden brown.

    Serve warm or cooled.

    Refrigerator is used for cool pie.
