- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. whipping cream or half and half
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/2 c. chopped dates or raisins
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Directions

1Cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.

2Add flour, salt and eggs.

3Beat until almost smooth, then beat 2 minutes longer. Stir in whipping cream and vanilla until mixed well.

4Stir in nuts and dates.

5Pour into unbaked pie shell.

6Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes until top of filling is dark golden brown.

7Serve warm or cooled.

8Refrigerator is used for cool pie.
