  • 1 qt. chestnuts
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 c. bread
  • 2 Tbsp. cream

Directions

    Shell and blanch chestnuts; cook in boiling water until tender.

    While still hot, rub them through a sieve.
