  • 3 c. chopped cooked chicken
  • 4 oz. diced green chilies
  • 1/2 c. green onions, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c. sharp Cheddar cheese
  • pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 (17 1/4 oz.) box frozen pastry sheets, thawed, or 10-inch pie pastry (double)
  • 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin, ground
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • water
  • salsa
  • guacamole

Directions

    In bowl combine chicken, chilies, onions, cheese and seasonings.

    Mix well, chill until ready to use.

    Remove half of pastry from refrigerator at a time.

    Roll, on floured surface (9 x 12-inch) rectangle; cut into 9 small rectangles.

    Place 2 tablespoons of filling across center of each.

    Wet edges and roll pastry around filling.

    Crimp edges with fork.

    Place, seam side down, on lightly greased cookie sheet.

    Bake at 425° for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.

    Serve with salsa and guacamole. Makes 18.
