Chicken Almond

  • 8 to 10 chicken breast halves
  • salt
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can water or white wine
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds
  • 1 Tbsp. onion flakes

    Skin breasts,

    salt. Brown in skillet in the margarine. Remove to greased baking pan when browned.

    To the skillet add almonds, chestnuts, mushrooms and onion flakes and saute.

    water (or wine); blend.

    Pour over the chicken breasts.

    bake at 375° for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.

    Uncover last 20 minutes.
