- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 or 2 bay leaves
- 1 tsp. oregano or basil
- 1 (3 lb.) chicken breast, cut up
- 2 medium onions, cut in 1/4-inch slices
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 large can tomatoes
- 1/4 c. cooking Sauterne
Directions

1Heat oil in skillet.

2Add chicken and brown slowly.

3Remove chicken from skillet.

4Cook onions and garlic until tender. Combine remaining ingredients, except wine.

5Return chicken to skillet and simmer for 45 minutes.

6Stir in wine.

7Cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes.

8Serve with spaghetti.
