  • 3 c. cooked, diced chicken
  • 3 c. diced celery, sauteed in butter
  • 3 c. cooked rice
  • 1 1/2 cans cream of chicken soup (do not dilute)
  • 2 c. mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 1 1/2 c. corn flakes, crushed
  • 1 c. slivered almonds
  • 3 Tbsp. margarine, melted

    Mix the first 6 ingredients gently, but well.

    Put in low, flat casserole.

    Toss corn flakes and nuts in margarine and put atop chicken mixture.

    Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or if made ahead and refrigerated, increase baking time to 1 hour.

    Serves 10 to 12.
