Ingredients
- 8 slices bread
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/4 lb. shredded American cheese
- 2 c. diced, cooked chicken
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
Directions

1Cube 2 slices bread.

2Place in a greased 11 x 7-inch baking dish.

3Combine chicken, onion, celery, mayonnaise, salt and pepper in bowl.

4Spoon over bread.

5Top with remaining bread slices. Beat eggs and milk and pour over bread and chicken.

6Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours.

7Spoon soup over bread and sprinkle with cheese and cover.

8Bake at 325° for 1 hour.

9Let stand covered 5 minutes before serving.
